Local Grape Clusters Flood Markets with Abundant Production Exceeding 128,000 Tons of the Finest Varieties

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, as part of its "Halawa Bimawsimha" (Sweet in Its Season) campaign, reported that Saudi Arabia produces over 128,000 tons of local grapes, with the harvest season running in July and August, mainly in Tabuk, Qassim, Hail, Al-Jouf, Madinah, Asir, and Taif. The Kingdom has more than 6.3 million fruit-bearing grapevines, with popular varieties including Taifi, Halwani, Bunati, Early Sweet, Crimson Seedless, Thompson Seedless, and Superior. The Ministry supports farmers through technical guidance, financing facilitation, and modern agricultural technologies, and works to strengthen supply and marketing chains through seasonal programs and local exhibitions.
