Deputy Minister of Environment: The Kingdom Leads a Qualitative Transformation in the Beekeeping Sector, Producing 7,786 Tons of Natural Honey to Enhance Food Security

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's Deputy Minister Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti stated, on the occasion of World Bee Day, that Saudi Arabia's natural honey production exceeds 7,786 tons annually, supported by more than 10,000 licensed beekeepers managing over two million beehives. The Ministry launched a vending-machine project for bee products under its beekeeping sector development program, and has distributed 6,000 improved queen bees while operating eight mobile clinics and three labs for imported bee packages. The Ministry is also digitizing beekeeping services via the "Nama" platform and has trained more than 1,500 small beekeepers.
