The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture called on Hajj pilgrims to adopt sound environmental practices ahead of the 1447 AH Hajj season, describing this as a civilizational duty aligned with Islamic values. It cited practices such as disposing of waste at designated sites, preserving vegetation, avoiding harm to animals and birds, using sustainable ihram garments, using designated sites for hair removal, rationalizing water use during ablution, closing taps tightly after use, avoiding water spillage, using eco-friendly recyclable water containers, and reducing food waste.
