Agricultural Processed Products.. A Strategic Pillar for the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to Enhance Food Security and Support the Kingdom's Economy

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture affirmed the importance of supporting agricultural processed products to make better use of seasonal crops, particularly during the winter season's abundant vegetable and fruit production, in order to raise the quality of local output, enhance added value in the agricultural sector, and support the Kingdom's economy. This came within the goals of the ministry's "Shitana Sah" awareness campaign (second edition), which highlights how processed products such as juices and natural sweets made from dates, and dairy products such as cheese and butter made from milk, raise farmers' income, support small and medium enterprises, and create investment opportunities, while the ministry called for reducing food waste and protecting natural resources.
