The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, as part of its 'Khair Ardina' Ramadan awareness campaign, encouraged citizens and residents to consume Saudi dates, noting that the Kingdom's date varieties exceed 400, including Sukkari, Khalas, Ajwa, Sagai, Safri, and Khudari. The Ministry stated the Kingdom has more than 37 million palm trees producing more than 1.9 million tons of dates.
