FAO Commends Saudi Arabia's Announcement to Rehabilitate One Million Hectares of Land and Affirms Its Continued Support for Cooperation with the National Afforestation Program

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) commended Saudi Arabia's announcement that it rehabilitated one million hectares of land under the Saudi Green Initiative. FAO's Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for the Near East and North Africa, Dr. Abdul Hakim Elwaer, praised the Kingdom's partners on the achievement, including the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, and the National Afforestation Program, and affirmed FAO's continued support for cooperation with the National Afforestation Program.
