The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced that the application rate of the Saudi Good Agricultural Practices standard ("Saudi GAP") in the Kingdom's poultry sector has reached approximately 90%, contributing to an increase in broiler chicken production to around 1.2 million tonnes during 2024. The Ministry highlighted these figures under its awareness campaign titled "Your Local Guarantee" (Dhamanek Al-Mahali), which aims to encourage compliance with quality and food-safety standards and promote modern technologies in poultry production, manufacturing, and marketing. The Ministry also noted that the poultry sector is experiencing rapid growth, supporting supply chain development and investment value, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 targets.
