Deputy Minister of Environment launches the Camel Passport to document identity, regulate the sector, and enhance service efficiency

The Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, launched the Camel Passport project, under the National Program for Livestock and Fisheries Development, to document camel identity, regulate the sector, and support market reliability. The passport is a comprehensive identification document containing the chip number, passport number, camel name, date of birth, breed, sex, color, place of birth, and issuance details, along with photos of the animal, plus a vaccination table signed by a veterinarian. The Ministry stated the passport supports regulation of sale and trading, protection of ownership rights, and a database of camel numbers by sex, age, breed, and color.
