The Saudi Water Partnerships Company leads private-sector participation in Saudi water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with an investment portfolio exceeding SAR 56 billion across 48 projects, 15 of which are already in service. It holds desalinated water production capacity exceeding 10 million cubic meters per day and wastewater treatment capacity exceeding 1.24 million cubic meters per day. The company was established in 2003 as a limited liability company under a Supreme Economic Council decision, expanded its scope in 2017 by a Council of Ministers decision to become the main water buyer with resale rights, and updated its comprehensive strategy in 2024.
