"Environment" Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the General Authority for Irrigation to Enable the Non-Profit Sector and Small Farmers from Agricultural Complexes in the Eastern Region

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Authority for Irrigation aimed at enabling small farmers and boosting agricultural production in agricultural complexes in the Eastern Region, supporting food security and the National Agriculture Strategy. The memorandum was signed by the Ministry's Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Sulaiman bin Ali Al-Khatib, and the Authority's CEO, Eng. Mohammed bin Zaid Abuhaid, and covers use of developed land owned by the Authority, particularly for lemon and citrus production, and enabling the non-profit sector to manage the agricultural complexes.
