The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture reported that Saudi Arabia's annual local cantaloupe production exceeds 70.5 thousand tons, supplying markets during the summer production season under its 'Halwa Bimawsimha' campaign. Cultivation is concentrated in Qassim, Madinah, Hail, Najran, Al-Jouf, the Eastern Region, and Tabuk, with leading varieties including Canary, hybrid Mangawi, hybrid Dalia, Asali, and Golden Bell. The Ministry supports farmers through technical guidance, financing facilitation, and expanded use of modern agricultural technologies.
