"Environment" Discusses Livestock Import Challenges with Major Suppliers to Enhance and Ensure Supply Chain Stability in Local Markets

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture held a meeting with major live-livestock importers to discuss the main challenges they face and explore ways to address them, in order to ensure the stability of supply chains in local markets. The Ministry stressed the importance of improving import efficiency to sustain the flow of live livestock imports, meet rising market demand, and prepare for this year's Hajj season 1447 AH, and affirmed its interest in strengthening partnership with the private sector. The Ministry noted that the Kingdom's total imports of live livestock exceeded 10 million head during the past year, 2025.
