Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti witnessed the launch of the Aviagen Arabia poultry grandparent stock project in Al-Jouf region, with investments exceeding 200 million dollars, aimed at localizing the poultry grandparent stock industry and strengthening food security in the Kingdom's poultry sector. The Ministry handed the company its operating and investment license at the ceremony, and the project targets an annual production capacity of 15 million parent stock (PS) chicks, including a grandparent farm system, central hatchery, feed mill, and specialized laboratory, and is expected to create more than 500 direct and indirect jobs.
