Deputy Minister of Environment Witnesses the Signing of a Package of Memoranda of Understanding and Agreements to Enhance Integration and Achieve Environmental Sustainability Targets in the Kingdom

نائب وزير "البيئة" يشهد توقيع حزمة من مذكرات التفاهم والاتفاقيات لتعزيز التكامل وتحقيق مستهدفات الاستدامة البيئية في المملكة

Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti witnessed the signing of about 44 memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements between the environment sector and a number of national universities, government, private, and non-profit entities, on the sidelines of Environment Week 2026 held under the theme "Your Impact is Green." The agreements included cooperation between the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Saudi universities, the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification with various entities, and partnerships by the Environment Fund, the National Environment Academy, the Saudi Rural Academy, and Net Zero company. The events also included signing an afforestation agreement to plant 25 million seedlings between the Saudi Water Authority and the National Water Company. Honorees included the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation for engaging 264 training facilities, the Ministry of Education, and Climer company as an educational partner in the Green Schools initiative.
