"Environment" Urges Pilgrims to Handle Sacrificial Animals with Gentleness in Accordance with the Teachings of Islam

"البيئة" تحث ضيوف الرحمن على مراعاة التعامل مع الأضاحي برفق وفقًا لتعاليم الدين الحنيف

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has urged pilgrims to handle sacrificial animals with gentleness during the Hajj season of 1447 AH, in line with Islamic teachings on animal welfare and public health. The Ministry described the humane treatment of sacrificial animals as both a religious and humanitarian responsibility, and issued guidance including providing adequate space, water, and food, avoiding direct sunlight exposure, preventing overcrowding during transport, and monitoring animals for signs of ill health. The Ministry called on all pilgrims and community members to follow the relevant health and veterinary guidelines to promote sound practices and protect the safety and health of sacrificial animals.
