"Environment" Chairs the First Meeting of the National Committee for Preparing a Comprehensive Strategy for Dealing with Asbestos and Following Up on Its Ban

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture chaired the first meeting of the National Committee tasked with preparing a comprehensive strategy for dealing with asbestos and following up on its ban, chaired by Deputy Minister for Environment Dr. Osama bin Ibrahim Faqiha. The meeting reviewed Council of Ministers Resolution No. 615 dated 22/8/1447 AH, which formed the standing committee, whose members represent ministries including Municipalities and Housing, Health, Finance, Commerce, Investment, Transport and Logistics, and Industry and Mineral Resources, plus bodies such as ZATCA, SASO, and the Food and Drug Authority. The committee is to submit its strategic plan within no more than 180 days.
