Madinah Region Development Authority Reviews Its Experience in Localizing Sustainable Development Goals at the 13th World Urban Forum

The Madinah Region Development Authority presented its experience localizing the Sustainable Development Goals through two participations at the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan. Its Executive Director of Data and Innovation, Eng. Abdulrahman Ibrahim, joined a panel with representatives from Moscow, Barcelona, and Subang Jaya, presenting Madinah's human-centered "beyond construction" model, including the Wadi Al-Aqiq green-corridor project and Local Voluntary Reviews. The Authority also presented Madinah's experience as winner of the 2025 Shanghai Global Award for Sustainable Development in Cities, where the Director General of the Urban Observatory, Eng. Fayez bin Ali Al-Sayel, outlined its data-driven urban governance model.
