Madinah Reviews Its Urban Experience at the 13th World Forum in Azerbaijan

The Madinah Region participated in the Kingdom's delegation at the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Azerbaijan, held from 17 to 22 May, presenting its experience in developing integrated urban housing models. Engineer Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Balihshi, Amin of Madinah Region and CEO of the Madinah Region Development Authority, represented the delegation in forums including a local and regional governments roundtable and a session on climate and housing. The Authority organized an event titled "Beyond Shelter: Data-Driven Housing to Improve Quality of Life" and presented Madinah's experience at the "Voices from Cities" event as winner of the 2025 Shanghai Award for Sustainable Development in Cities, also joining an SDG localization event organized by Malaysia's Ministry of Housing and Local Government.
