Launch of Madinah Design Studio Operations to Enhance Urban Identity and Elevate the Quality of Architectural Outputs

The Madinah Region Development Authority has launched the Madinah Design Studio, an artistic and advisory arm dedicated to applying design guidelines that reflect local architectural identity in a contemporary style balancing heritage and modernity. The Studio aims to enhance Madinah's urban identity and elevate the quality of architectural outputs by providing technical and advisory support, developing design guidelines and application manuals, and reviewing architectural designs for compliance with approved standards. It also works to raise awareness of Madinah's historical heritage and trains urban-sector practitioners through workshops and training courses. The Studio's launch supports the Saudi Architecture Initiative and aligns with Vision 2030 objectives of strengthening national identity, improving quality of life, and achieving environmental sustainability.
