Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha congratulated the leadership on the announcement of the State Budget for fiscal year 1447-1448H (2026), affirming it reflects continued support for the nation's digital and AI-driven development. He noted the ICT market grew to reach 190 billion SAR in 2025 with an annual growth rate exceeding 5%, the Kingdom captured 50% of the region's unicorn companies (eight total), sector employment grew 3% to over 390,000, Saudi Arabia ranked first globally in the ICT Development Index (IDI), and technology companies listed on the stock market rose to 25. He also cited development of more than 13 deep-tech capabilities, 37 global R&D and semiconductor companies attracted, and the launch of the first national marketplace for satellite data and imagery via the Earth Observation (EO) platform.
