Saudi Arabia's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha called on the global community to partner with the Kingdom in bridging AI gaps and ensuring equitable access to AI capabilities for all nations. He argued that the concentration of advanced AI infrastructure in a limited number of countries creates a shared international responsibility, and that Saudi Arabia's strategic location, digital infrastructure, and energy leadership position it to connect regions globally. The minister highlighted the Kingdom's partnership with the United Nations on AI initiatives and its role in founding the Digital Cooperation Organization, which has helped enable over one billion people to access advanced AI capabilities. He also called for recognising access to AI as a human right, given its impact on humanity's future and global development.
