Saudi Data & AI Authority: Rules Governing the Issuance of Accreditation Certificates for Personal Data Protection

The project aims to establish the rules and procedures governing the issuance of accreditation certificates in personal data protection to controllers and processors falling within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law. These certificates are granted by authorized accreditation bodies. The aim is to regulate activities related to personal data protection and enhance individuals trust in transactions involving personal data processing and encourage entities subject to the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law to adopt practices that comply with the law and its executive regulations, and the directives issued by the competent authority regarding its application.
