Ministry of Sport and Insurance Authority Sign MoU to Develop Sports Insurance Products in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Sport and the Insurance Authority signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, to strengthen cooperation in developing specialised insurance products for the sports sector in Saudi Arabia. The MoU covers studying insurance needs related to sports facilities and athletes — including venue injuries and professional liabilities — developing new or improving existing products, and exploring the mandatory application of certain sports insurance products. Cooperation areas also include exchanging data and statistics, technical integration to facilitate verification of insurance policies, and enhancing the sustainability and credibility of sports insurance products.
