On the sidelines of the 'FinTech 24' Conference, held from 3 to 5 September 2024 at Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center, the Chairman of the Insurance Authority, Abdulaziz bin Hassan Al-Buq, launched the Regulatory Sandbox Platform for the Insurance Sector in the presence of the Minister of Finance. The platform aims to provide a safe, low-risk, and governed environment for entrepreneurs and companies to test new insurance-related solutions and innovations for a defined period until activities or business models graduate. The Insurance Authority's CEO, Engineer Naji Al-Tamimi, stated that the launch supports the Authority's efforts to enable innovation tools and advance digital transformation in the insurance sector in alignment with Vision 2030 objectives.
