الحيدر يلتقي بالجهات الحكومية المعنية بإطلاق السينما
The General Commission for Audiovisual Media held a meeting chaired by its head, Reda bin Mohammed Al-Haider, with government entities concerned with preparing regulations and frameworks for organizing audiovisual screenings in public places, ahead of opening cinemas in the Kingdom. Al-Haider said the goal was to discuss the executive plan and requirements of concerned entities to launch a cinema operating regulation ensuring screenings align with national values and do not conflict with Shariah rulings or ethical considerations, and stated the Authority would continue holding similar meetings in Riyadh until the cinema regulation is issued. The Authority's board, chaired by Minister of Culture and Media Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, had approved on 23 Rabi' al-Awwal, corresponding to 11 December 2017, the issuance of licenses for those wishing to open cinemas.
