The General Authority for Audiovisual Media Participates in the International Shortwave Conference

The General Authority for Audiovisual Media participated in the International High Frequency Coordination Conference (HFCC) for broadcast period A19, held the previous week in Tunisia, represented by Engineer Ibrahim Al-Hamd, Director of the Technical Affairs Department. On the conference sidelines, Al-Hamd took part in a coordination meeting held by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, at which attendees affirmed implementation of the recommendations of the ninth meeting of engineering affairs officials, held at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh in December 2018, and stressed the importance of GCC states' presence at international specialized forums and of training Gulf technical cadres in HFCC, and agreed to establish a joint Gulf database at the General Secretariat.
