The CEO of the General Authority for Media Regulation, Dr. Abdullatif bin Mohammed Al-Abdullatif, participated in the 7th Family and Family Counseling Forum held in Riyadh from 1-2 September 2024, discussing media's role in strengthening family bonds. He said the Authority has set media controls to ensure a safe family environment and classifies about 1,400 games and films annually, and highlighted parental oversight as the first line of defense, plus governance of social media influencer advertising that bans exploiting children in promotions.
