"Media Regulation" and Meta Launch Parental Control Service on Instagram

The General Authority for Media Regulation, in cooperation with Meta, launched the Parental Supervision feature on Instagram in Saudi Arabia, letting parents monitor children's use of the platform. The launch also covers teen accounts for users aged 13-17, which are automatically set to private with restricted messaging, sensitive content limits, and a default sleep mode from 10 PM to 7 AM, with users under 16 needing parental permission to switch accounts to public.
