The Ministry of Media – General Commission for Audiovisual Media – granted electronic newspapers a 45-day grace period starting 2021/10/10 to rectify their status by renewing or issuing the licenses required to operate, via the Authority's e-services portal. Newspapers must comply with the executive regulation for electronic publishing activity or face penalties, and if not rectified within 45 days, regulatory action will be taken.
