The General Authority for Media Regulation announced it achieved distinguished figures during the 1445 AH Hajj season, citing its role in supporting media coverage of Hajj rituals. Customs clearance for international delegations totaled 2,137 devices from 35 countries, with 9 requests for satellite uplink vehicles and TV/radio studio vehicles (12 vehicles total, plus 119 related devices), and 4,004 devices cleared overall for local and international delegations, exceeding last year's target by over 100%. Live broadcast devices cleared totaled 22, with 690 hours of uplink vehicle broadcast time and 21 hours of satellite capacity/link booking at the Hajj Media Forum support centers, for a total of 711 TV broadcast hours; 22 radio stations were monitored in Makkah and the holy sites, broadcasting in 12 languages, with 10 official uplink signals via Arabsat systems.
