The Control Center at the General Commission for Audiovisual Media conducted extensive field campaigns on media establishments from March 20 to April 20, 2021, carrying out 1,087 supervisory rounds during which 5,405 media items were seized. Violations detected included practicing media activity without a license or without renewing the license, resulting in fines, penalties, and the closure of 13 printing presses and a number of shops pending correction of their status. The Authority confirmed it would continue supervisory campaigns and invited citizens and residents to report violations via the unified number 920004242.
