The Authority Emphasizes the Importance of Compliance with Age Classification for Electronic Games
الهيئة تشدّد على أهمية الالتزام بالتصنيف العمري للألعاب الإلكترونية
The General Authority for Media Regulation stated that compliance with age classification for electronic games is a legal obligation and a societal necessity to ensure a safe digital environment protecting children and adolescents from digital risks or inappropriate content. It noted that age classification protects thought and behavior, guides safe content use, and enables families to select age-appropriate content, urging parents to activate available parental control tools. The Authority stressed the importance of monitoring in-game communication due to risks such as grooming, bullying, or the spread of harmful ideas, and confirmed that age-classification violations will be subject to the applicable regulatory procedures.
