The General Commission for Audiovisual Media, through continuous monitoring of social media platforms, identified 112 violating advertisements attributed to 98 individuals who engaged in presenting advertising content on social media without holding a "Mawthooq" licence. The Commission also revoked licences previously issued to citizens who had allowed non-compliant residents to exploit those licences to practise advertising activity, and referred them to the relevant authorities for regulatory proceedings. The Commission called on individuals practising advertising activity to obtain a Mawthooq licence and urged consumers to report violations via the complaints centre at 920004242 or through the Nafidh service.
