General Commission for Audiovisual Media Closes 34 Establishments and Seizes More Than 13,000 Violating Items

The General Commission for Audiovisual Media closed 34 violating media establishments and seized more than 13,000 unlicensed items during a field campaign in the Asir and Najran regions, after conducting 215 field visits and identifying 86 non-compliant establishments (operating without a license, expired licenses, or signage not matching the licensed name). Seized items included 4,813 pirated CDs, 91 USB drives, 15 copying devices, and 655 electronic games not age-classified by the Authority. The Commission stressed the importance of compliance with its regulations, respect for intellectual property, and invited the public to report violations via its reporting channels.
