The General Commission for Audiovisual Media monitors 220 violating advertisements

The General Authority for Media Regulation (via the General Commission for Audiovisual Media) detected 220 violating advertisements from 143 advertisers who carried out advertising activity on social media without obtaining a 'Mawthouq' license for individual advertising content. The Authority summoned the violating advertisers for statutory action, referred the violating commercial establishments to the competent authority, and warned other establishments against dealing with unlicensed advertisers. It called on individual advertisers to obtain a 'Mawthouq' license and urged consumers to report violators via the complaints center (920004242) or the 'Nafidh' service.
