The General Commission for Audiovisual Media discusses the development of the cinema sector with major global companies

The CEO of the General Authority for Audiovisual Media, Esraa Assiri, met with Toby Tennant, Vice President of Distribution for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Warner Bros., and Mohammed Al-Hashemi, Regional President at Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment for the Middle East. The meeting discussed cooperation to develop Saudi cinema and film distribution and national talent, noting that more than 1,000 cinema films were cleared in the Kingdom over the past three years. Participants stated the cinema sector is heading toward significant growth. The number of cinemas in the Kingdom reached 45, with 418 screens and 41,934 seats.
