The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) held a symposium titled "The Saudi Flag .. Symbolism, Belonging, Evolution" presented by Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Rashoudi, Head of the History and Civilization Department and Professor of Modern History at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, coinciding with Flag Day. The symposium covered the origins and stages of development of the Saudi flag, its symbolism in Saudi historical memory and identity, and its significance as a testament to the country's unification campaigns since its founding. It also addressed the meanings of unity, strength, justice, and prosperity represented by the flag, as well as relevant regulations governing its types, uses, and preservation.
