The Kingdom Chairs the Thirteenth Meeting of the Arab Committee of United Nations Experts on the Management of Geospatial Information in Tunisia

Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information, chaired the Thirteenth Meeting of the Arab Committee of United Nations Experts on the Management of Geospatial Information, held in Tunisia on 3–4 February 2026 with participation from Arab states and regional and international organisations. The agenda covered the Arab Committee's annual report, UN and international contributions to geospatial information, and the work of the Geodetic Framework, Integrated Geospatial Information Framework, and Geospatial Governance working groups. Saudi Arabia presented its experience in measuring geospatial maturity, while Tunisia and Iraq shared national plans and projects related to the Integrated Geospatial Information Framework. Saudi Arabia emphasised the importance of coordination among Arab states, advancing geospatial governance, and developing geospatial infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making.
