The Geospatial Authority Celebrates World Hydrographic Survey Day 2025

The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) organized a program celebrating World Hydrographic Survey Day 2025 under the theme "Seabed Maps.. Empowering Maritime Business," held at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Science and Technology Center (SCITECH) in Khobar, with participation from several ministries, authorities, government centers, and representatives of the private, academic, and non-profit sectors. The program included remarks from GEOSA President Dr. Mohammed bin Yahya Al Sayel, acting CEO of the Eastern Province Development Authority Dr. Talal bin Nabil Al-Mughlouth, and International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) Secretary-General Luigi Sinapi, alongside a review of national hydrographic survey efforts by entities including the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Saudi Water Authority, and the Saudi Geological Survey, plus a dialogue session and a student research session.
