The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information held seminars and specialized workshops during February on geospatial law and the Integrated Geospatial Information Framework, delivered by international experts from the UN Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM). The sessions covered topics affecting the collection, use, storage, and distribution of geospatial information in the Kingdom, including legal issues such as location privacy and legal liability. More than 100 specialists from 50 entities across government, private, academic, and non-profit sectors participated. The Kingdom also hosted the fifth meeting of the UN-IGIF High-Level Group in Jeddah earlier in February, attended by 47 participants.
