The Kingdom Hosts the 12th Meeting of the Arab Committee of United Nations Experts on the Management of Geospatial Information

The Kingdom, represented by the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA), hosted the 12th meeting of the Arab Committee of UN Experts on the Management of Geospatial Information during 2-6 February in Jeddah, marking 10 years since the committee's first meeting held in Riyadh in February 2015. The Kingdom chairs the committee, having been re-elected for three consecutive terms, and also holds its General Secretariat. The committee operates through three working groups: geodetic reference, geospatial governance, and the Integrated Geospatial Information Framework, and the meeting was accompanied by a session of the IGIF High-Level Group discussing its 2025 priority activities, plus workshops for government, private, academic, and non-profit sector stakeholders.
