"GEOSA" and "King Abdulaziz University" Sign a Cooperation Agreement in Geospatial Fields

"الجيومكانية" و"جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز" توقّعان اتفاقية تعاون في المجالات الجيومكانية

The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) and King Abdulaziz University signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen partnership in survey and geospatial fields, support scientific research, training, and national capacity building. GEOSA was represented by its President Dr. Eng. Mohammed bin Yahya Al Sayel, and the university by its President Dr. Turaif bin Yousef Al-Aamah. Cooperation areas include documenting geographic and historical landmarks of the Two Holy Mosques and Holy Sites, adopting the Authority's official maps and data, activating use of the national spatial reference (SANSRS), joint research, cooperative training for university students, postgraduate and professional programs, and cooperation on mapping projects and Red Sea/Arabian Gulf sunken antiquities projects.
