Saudi Arabia participates in the 23rd meeting of the OECD Committee on Statistics and Statistical Policy (CSSP) held in conjunction with the Conference of European Statisticians (CES)

Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), participated for the first time in the 23rd meeting of the OECD Committee on Statistics and Statistical Policy (CSSP), held virtually from 22 to 23 June 2026 alongside the Conference of European Statisticians (CES). GASTAT President Fahad Aldossari said the participation reflects the Kingdom's standing in the international statistical community ahead of hosting the 6th UN World Data Forum (UNWDF) 2026 in Riyadh. The meeting reviewed topics including statistical data quality, use of artificial intelligence in statistical processes, and modernizing statistical methodologies and standards. GASTAT separately announced the opening of registration for the 6th UNWDF, scheduled in Riyadh from 9 to 12 November 2026, alongside the Second Saudi Statistics Forum.
