Saudi Arabia participates in the 57th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission in New York

Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), participated in the 57th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission, held at UN Headquarters in New York from 3 to 6 March 2026. The Saudi delegation, headed by GASTAT Vice President Mohammed Al-Rshaid, highlighted Riyadh's preparations to host the Sixth UN World Data Forum in November and outlined strategic pillars in digital transformation/AI, the Arabic translation of the System of National Accounts 2025, and an integrated system for monitoring Sustainable Development Goals data. GASTAT also took part in a side event on data governance as Co-Chair of the commission's Data Governance Working Group.
