GASTAT: Saudi Arabia among the world safest countries in 2025

The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) reported that Saudi Arabia ranked first among G20 countries in the UN Sustainable Development Goals Indicators Database, based on the 2023 Safety Index results issued by GASTAT. The results showed that 97.7% of the population feels safe walking alone at night in their residential areas. GASTAT stated it conducts its statistical activities under a unified methodology based on the Statistical Business Process Manual, consistent with international statistical organizations' business processes.
