GASTAT holds a panel discussion on “Beyond Numbers - The Social Dimensions of Data”

The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) held a panel discussion titled "Beyond the Numbers – The Social Dimension of Data" on Wednesday evening, February 11, 2026, as part of its Road to Riyadh series of events ahead of Saudi Arabia's hosting of the 6th UN World Data Forum in Riyadh in November. The session brought together representatives from GASTAT, the Family Affairs Council, the National Observatory for Women, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Economy and Planning, UN Women, and academia to explore the human and social dimensions of statistical data. Topics covered included Saudi women's empowerment across sectors, local and global strategies supporting women's empowerment, and the role of statistical data in informing decision-makers and government entities in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
