GASTAT organizes a workshop to develop the national framework for statistical training

The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) organized a specialized workshop titled "The National Framework for Statistical Training," bringing together experts, statisticians, and data producers and users to develop national capabilities in Saudi Arabia's statistical sector. The workshop reviewed the framework's objectives in establishing a professional system for developing knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors of statistical practitioners in line with Saudi Vision 2030. Working sessions addressed proposed professional domains, training program structures, and specialized tracks in data production, statistical analysis, data governance, and statistical dissemination. GASTAT President Fahad Aldossari described the workshop as a qualitative milestone and emphasized that investing in statistical capacity building is a strategic necessity to ensure the quality and reliability of statistical outputs.
