Kingdom advances in Statistical Performance Indicator (SPI) 2024

Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), advanced in the World Bank's Statistical Performance Indicator (SPI) 2024, raising its score to 83.3% in 2024 from 81.5% in 2023, maintaining 1st place in the Arab region and moving up to 11th place among G20 countries from 14th, and to 51st place globally out of 188 countries, an advance of four places. The SPI assessed five pillars covering 51 indicators; Saudi Arabia ranked 6th among G20 countries in the data services pillar (93.2%) and 7th among G20 in data sources, advancing to 17th place globally in that pillar from 36th, and placed in the top 20% of countries in the data services, data sources, and data infrastructure pillars.
