GASTAT issues report on GCC Market Indicators for 2024

The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) released its GCC Market Indicators Report for 2024, which supports free movement of goods, services, capital, and labor among GCC countries. It found a 5.83% increase in GCC citizens' entries into the Kingdom compared to 2023, with entries and departures each reaching approximately 8.8 million, 988 GCC-national students enrolled in public higher education and 5,036 in general education, and 247 joint-stock companies open to GCC citizen trading with total capital of approximately 850 billion Saudi riyals. The data are based on administrative records from the Ministries of Education, Health, Justice, and Human Resources and Social Development, the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul), and the Saudi Central Bank.
