The General Authority for Foreign Trade organized a virtual workshop on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, to introduce Rules of Origin, attended by more than 70 representatives from the private sector across various fields. The workshop covered the concept of rules of origin, their importance in trade, their types and criteria, and their role in determining the trade treatment of products, as well as the purpose of origin rules, the difference between rules of origin and general provisions, and the criteria for a product to acquire origin status.
